Is Online Learning Right For Me?

If you are considering enrolling in an online course, you will want to take a few minutes to find out if the online learning environment is likely to be a good fit. Mark your answer for each question, then review your score at the bottom. Reflect honestly on your answers as this will help in providing guidance for the best fit learning environment for you.

When answering the questions, use the following scale:

If you scored 78‐65 points, you are likely to do well in an online learning environment. You are an independent learner, manage time well, ask for help when you need it, and are comfortable with technology.

If you scored 64‐40 points, you may need some extra help from your teachers, Advisor, and others around you to succeed. Be sure to ask for help when you need it to improve your study skills and help you adapt to the technology.

If you scored 39‐26 points, an online learning environment may not be a good fit. Talk with your parents and enrollment counselor about what may be the best option for your learning preferences.
